Fuselage firewall/motor mount is very weak.

At first every thing looks good and flys very well even though it is a bit heavy overall. It is easy to put together the aileron and flap connections need to be redone and perhaps use clips because they are very easy to come apart.
I have only about 12 filights and nothing but perfect landings when on the 13th flight during climb out the firewall came apart destroying the prop, motor, and fuselage. The firewall is just a very thin part of plastic and very weak. I am hoping Hobby king will replace the parts. If you plan on buying one I encourage you to beef up the firewall with fiberglass cloth and epoxy so you will not have the same thing happen to you.

I have 5 foam sailplanes. This one is now my favorite. Blows Radian away because you can do emmelman etc. plus use 8 ch receiver and do flaps and spoilers. Weight to wing or wing loading is very nice and great with 2200 mah-get the short one from ovonic 2200 3s quadcopter version weighs an ounce less and 2 batts for $30-- or go lighter with less mah and still plenty of off-throttle slope cruising--plenty of room in the cabin to shift smaller battery forward for proper CG-I prefer receiver with telemetry if you go light battery. Build is the easiest of all! Love it!.

I rate models by the grins per dollar. I have owned a 1600 V1 for several years and it is the "throw in the truck" plane in case there are some thermals or just relaxing with the local raptors. It has be durable and fun. The series of Volantex planes started appearing at the club and they have enjoyed popular approval. The 2000 just got it's maiden and I loaded it with an Frsky telemetry receiver to challenge my new x20. Grins were achieved. It is a little less agile than the 1600, but noticeably more "floaty". I'll need to improve my landing skills or endure walking to the end of the runway to retrieve the beast.
Pros:
Maiden was throw it in the air, minor tweaks, and enjoy!
Sturdy
Amazingly good flight characteristics. Tolerates wide cg
Components seem overbuilt. Install electronic and battery, go fly.
There a plenty of foamy 2m birds that cost more and that contain fewer grins.
Easy assembly
Cons:
I got this at the end of the warehouse sale....so...
There were some small blemishes due to rough handling. Most ironed out.
The Decals were pure crud. Wrinkled
In the older Volantex birds the backing plates for control horns had machine screws. These were barbed, and a pain to install.

Over 40 minutes longest 1hour & 5 minutes just power up and using camber just glide

Great value, well designed, looks like it will fly nice. Only issue was
the decals. They were rolled up tightly and when unrolled the graphics flaked off in some areas.

Love this glider

Love this glider. Put the old 850kv motor in this and fly 1300 4S. Flies well in the wind, sturdy, programmable, and thermals. I use a six channel radio, separate alerons, but with seven channels could still do some impressive stuff. Lots of videos out there to check out. Fits in my Ford Fiesta. My favorite plane overall... slope soar all day when conditions are right....

A good aircraft

I found this glider easy to assemble and fly. It's a floater and can drift around the sky all day, subject to battery life. The only issue for me was the stickers that peel off and need glue to keep in place.
